Containers

Containers are types of items that can be used to store liquids or other items. There are 11 types of containers in the game.

Item containers

Item containers have a special property where an item will 🧲🍯"stick" to the container (usually its inside), allowing for the entire container and its contents to move around physically.

Liquid containers

Liquid container fluid/liquid transfer

A liquid container can only hold liquid. The mouseover hover tooltip will show the liquid container's weight, capacity, and liquid percentage (%).[1]

Liquid transfer

To transfer liquid from one liquid container to another, open one of the container's caps (preferably the container on a relatively flat surface), then pick up (TAKE) the other liquid container, 🔄rotate it (default Alt key + move mouse) upside down, stop rotating, and move towards the other liquid container. The containers should 🔒lock/snap together where the FILL UP   TRANSFER DIRECTION (siphon) prompt appears (see image to right).

Other liquid containers

There are many other items in the game that store fluids, but also have other uses.

Engines

All engines can hold a small amount of fluid. This storage is typically used for oil, as it is required for the engine to run, but they can technically be used to store any fluid.

However, using engines is not an efficient way to store fluids, as they are very heavy by default and hold very little fluid.

Radiators

A radiator can hold a small to moderate amount of fluid. This storage is typically used for water, as it is required for the radiator to keep the engine from ♨️overheating, but they can technically be used to store any fluid.

Using some radiators for fluid storage can be efficient if they have a large capacity. However, using most radiators is not an efficient way to store fluids, as they are very heavy by default and hold very little fluid.

Fuel tanks

All vehicles have a fuel tank that can store a moderate to large amount of fluid. This storage is typically used for petrol or diesel, as they are required to drive a vehicle, but they can technically be used to store any fluid.

Since the fuel tanks on vehicles can't be removed, using fuel tanks for fluid storage is extremely inefficient due to the very heavy weight of the cars.

Permanent containers

Permanent containers are containers that cannot be picked up or moved by the player. Currently, there is only 1 immovable container, the water tank.[2]

Notes

  1. white or red % means the liquid container contains a liquid intended or different, respectively, than is designed. Whether this affects if the liquid container is 🔥combustible/💥explosible is unknown.
  2. The ⛽️gas pump also contains fuel, though it can be blown up in a 💥gas station explosion so will it still hold fuel and act like a liquid container?
