Getting Started
You start in front of your home with a barely functioning car in the garage, and you have one goal - to hit the road and drive beyond horizons.
Prettying up your car
When you go to the garage of your home you can find a Dada in a sorry state missing a lot of parts.
First thing you want to do is go outside and check the front and back of the house for any car parts you can install on the car.
TIP: There's always a car radio on the first table at the left wall of the garage that you can install into the center console.
You can grab the items with the left click when looking at them when you're close enough. To attach them to the car you need to move the cursor to the location where the item should be and the tooltip at your cursor will say "ATTACH". Then you just left-click to attach it. Looking better already!
Next go to the basket on the left wall of the garage, near the back where you can find either sponges, brushes, spray paint cans, or a combination of the three so we can pretty up the car.
Grab the items and pretty up your car.
Filling it up
Now that you've turned your junk car to a slightly less of a junk car it's time to make sure it can drive. First we'll open the hood of the car and check the engine and the radiator. To open the hood hover your mouse on the hood, hold left click, and move your mouse upwards.
Ideally you would want only water in the radiator and engine oil in the engine. Empty them if that's not the case! You can screw off the white cap on both parts with left click, then unmount them with the right click, and while holding them you can turn them upside-down by holding middle click and moving the mouse. Once you've emptied them let's look for water and oil in the containers at the back wall of the garage.
Don't worry if you find only very little water like I did. There's a water tank behind the house you can use to fill up any container! Grab the water canister and move it below the tap of the water tank behind the house. Make sure to open the cap of the canister before you open the tap of the water tank, and then just wait until it fills up.
Once you got both of your liquids ready, it's time to fill the engine parts! The simplest way to do that is to unscrew the cap of the radiator or engine, grab the container and move your mouse over where the uncovered hole is. The container will snap into position and all you have to do is hold the left click to pour the liquids in. It works even with the caps of the containers themselves closed.
Water is very useful at quenching your thirst so don't just leave the canister here. Throw it in the trunk for the road. Radiator and engine don't deplete the liquids in them so the oil won't be necessary to take with you.
Next we'll fill up the fuel tank so we can actually get further than our own driveway. First let's open the fuel tank by going to the right side of the car, at the back and opening up the fuel tank lid like we did with the hood, and then unscrewing the cap like we did with the radiator and the engine. Then look for a container with petrol in it, and pour it in like before.
Fuel is always useful, so feel free to grab any containers containing it and putting it either in the trunk, or if the fuel you find is in a barrel and it doesn't fit in the trunk you can always remove the back seats and stick a barrel back there.
Before we go...
Now that our car is ready both cosmetically and mechanically, it's almost time to hit the road! You may have noticed the meters at the bottom left slowly draining. That's your thirst and hunger meters. Thankfully we have a few consumables at home that we can bring with us on our road trip. Go to the kitchen right through the door from the garage, and grab all the food and soda cans on the table, floor, and counter.
You can also grab the energy drink from the fridge, and the first aid kit from the bedroom. There's also a radio in the bedroom if you would like to listen to that. Put them anywhere in your car (even if you don't have doors they won't fly out) and we're ready to go!
Onwards!
If you found a driver's side door, and attached it to your car, then you can open it the same way you opened the hood, and left-click the seat to sit in the driver's seat. Once inside you can close the door the same way you opened it.
Once inside, there are 3 ways to start up the car: hold W
(acceleration) until the car starts, hold I
(ignition) until the car starts, or left-click the ignition and wait for the car to start up. The ignition is located right behind the wheel on the right.
Once the car starts up don't forget to release the handbrake! You can do that by pressing Spacebar
or left-clicking the handbrake between the front seats. Now you can slam down your W
key and go explore the world!
